    Greetings,

    Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you of receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42104044) dated (10/26/1442) about​ the letter of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture No. (514035/1/1442) dated (10/21/1442)​ containing Ministerial Resolution No. (514035/1/1442) dated (9/28/1442) regarding the adoption of the mandatory application of the conditions and controls for importing fresh vegetables and fruits into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as of (Muharram 1, 1443 ) based on paragraph (1) of Article (15) Of the plant quarantine system for the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which states that (no shipment is allowed to enter the country except under a license to import a phytosanitary certificate issued by the competent authority in the exporting country), and what is stipulated in Article (12) of the executive regulations of the plant quarantine system That (an entity wishing to import plants, plant products or materials subject to phytosanitary regulations that require an import permit must apply to the competent authority), and the international standards of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM), which allow countries to set requirements on imported goods.


    Accordingly, the Council hopes that companies and institutions importing fresh vegetables and fruits will obtain licenses to import, knowing that this service will be available to them from the date (15/11/1442) on an agricultural platform in preparation for obtaining import permits for each shipment, and this can be coordinated with the engineer / Ayman bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, Director of the Plant Health Department, mobile number (0590909257), e-mail (agorganic@mewa.gov.sa).​
